 The custom rack built for Rooster's Wood Fired Kitchen in Charlotte, NC

Around our shop, we call this the Rooster rack. It certainly doesn't look like a rooster but we built a custom version to be used as a massive wine rack for an upscale restaurant in Charlotte, North Carolina called Roosters Wood Fired Kitchen. Their version is 15 feet tall and 30 feet long and makes an impressive backdrop in their spirits serving area. For residential uses, you can remove some shelves and install your wide-screen television. Shown at left is a version being used as a bookshelf. The vertical pieces resemble the bar joist you would see running horizontal overhead in buildings with exposed ceilings. We make them all sizes. Some customers have purchased only the vertical sections and used their own reclaimed lumber for the shelving. It's a smart design with an industrial feel.
